Fluid Structure Interaction (FSI)
Fluid Structure Interaction is the coupling between fluid flow and flexible structure, it is a rapidly evolving Computational methodology that provides great benefits in product design and development. With the advances in computing capabilities, FSI is proven to be an indispensable tool in designing safer, economical and more environmental friendly products.
In FlowXplore, we use iterative FSI coupling i.e. the fluid flow equations and solid equations are solved separately and using CFD results as input to solve solid equations. By this method of coupling the systems, no information is left out and becomes less memory intensive to solve large FSI problems.
We carry out FSI analysis for all flow types namely, low-Reynolds’s number flow, high speed incompressible, low and high compressible flows and fluid flow models such as Newtonian, Non-Newtonian, VOF and DPM.
This unique offering makes us successfully solve a wide range of FSI problems with utmost accuracy and cost efficient way.
